Mayor & Mayoress visit Great British Walks
Managing Director of Great British Walks Julie Thomas was delighted to receive a visit from The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Monmouth Cllr Richard
Roden BSc and the Mayoress Mary Roden on Friday 14th February 2020.
The Mayor and Mayoress were given a tour of the Great British Walks offices and met the staff. Over a Great British cup of tea and a slice of cake,
Julie Thomas explained what the company provided to its customers and how they delivered a high level of customer service excellence. The Mayor
and Mayoress were really interested in learning all about the business, as having a company based in Monmouth that provides holidays to an international
audience was quite unusual for the town. The Mayor was keen to understand how Monmouthshire County Council might be able to raise awareness of
Great British Walks, as a great many people within the County area would be potential customers.
Julie explained the importance of the internet and high speed connectivity, and how it was important for the UK Government to deliver on its promises to roll out high speed internet to every part of the country. This is vital for Great British Walks to remain competitive through an effective and fast online platform where the entire customer journey from browsing to booking and payment can be managed.
The staff at Great British Walks very much appreciate the Mayor and Mayoress taking time out of their busy schedule to visit us and we would like to
extend our sincere thanks to both Richard and Mary - it was a pleasure meeting them both.
Many thanks to Kerry Ballard at Dezines for attending to capture the photographs.
